A Night at the Races!

In 2008 the committee hopes to arrange more social events throughout the season, which of course helps raise much needed funds.

To this end, we will kick off the forthcoming season with a Night at the Races which is to take place at Cregagh on Saturday 19th April.

At present we are looking for sponsors, the cost to sponsor a race will be £50, in addition to this you can also sponsor a horse, with each horse costing £5. If you wish to sponsor a race or couple of horses, please contact Phil Thompson on 07703 277812.

We will of course issue reminder to all our members closer to the event and post updates on the website.

Changes for 2008

Some minor changes to be made over the coming weeks to the website.

We hope to have our very own Cregagh CC forum up and running very soon allowing more interaction with the website. We are also adding a hyper link through to the Orangefield Old Boys site allowing users to keep up to date with the football section of Cregagh Sports Club.

2nd XI fixtures and 3rd XI fixtures should be confirmed within the next few weeks, once the Under 11's and Under 15's fixtures are known we will update the website.

Also coming soon, the Captains will give their thoughts on the up coming 2008 season and what they hope to achieve, can Brian Clarke take the 3rds to a 3rd successive Cup Final. Can Phil Thompson win a game for the 2nd XI, whilst Graham Watt takes over from David McCormick as the 1st XI look forward to competing in section 3.

Finally, keep an eye out as we hope to make an announcement regarding the start date for our indoor nets. The Carrick mafia will not be happy!!
