As this will be the last official function of the season we are looking for a good attendance similar to last years record turnout, so put it in your diary now.

All players (including the youth section) and guests will be very welcome.

Three home games one result!

Trying to play catch up we tried to get three games in over the Bank holiday weekend.

Larne were first up on Saturday, and at 50 for 4 after 20 overs we were happy with our work, however the rain came and that put paid to any more cricket. Probably a good thing as most of our team had hernia's after moving our top of the range covers!

Dunmurry on Sunday, this one got played. The wicket played really well, it was a slow wicket but at this time of the season most wickets in the NCU are under water. So the best kept secret in the NCU played fine.

Dunmurry posted a competitive score of 183 for 8 from their 50 overs, Langer taking three wickets and Andy Bell breaking the biggest partnership and claiming the prize scalp of Connelly. Jarivs and Hassard chipped in with a wicket a piece and we were confident of chasing this total down.

After a belly full of sandwiches! we set about the task of getting the runs with Kerr and Walker making a careful start to the innings putting on 57 for the first wicket. With 100 runs on the board for the loss of only 3 wickets at the 34th over we were on course. A run out between Javed and McCormick was costly with both batsmen looking comfortable. We never recovered and ended up 34 runs shy.

On Monday we took BISC to Gibson Park and after 4 overs of play the rain came and that was it for the day! Great weather!
