Indoor Nets

Pre-Season indoor nets will start on Friday 1st March 2013 at 7pm until 9pm at Grosvenor Grammar School.  Indoor nets will take place weekly until 19th April 2013.

The last monthly indoor nets practice will take place on 15th February 2013 at Grosvenor Grammar School between 7pm and 9pm.

Play your cards right

We are running our main fund raiser for the season at the club on Saturday 23rd February at 7.30 pm

After the highly successful Mr & Mrs and the Take Your Pick Nights held last year we are continuing our TV theme nights by hosting Play Your Cards Right the old TV classic. Tickets will cost £7.50 and will include a buffet and disco after the game show

We will also hold a ballot and another coin toss competition on the night so everyone who attends gets a chance to win something.

There will be prizes for all couples that take part and of course some top prizes for the couples that reach the semi final stage!!!!!!

Cregagh Cricket Club's Biggest Loser 2013!!

This idea was pitched to me by our new Club Fitness Manager Mrs. Bronagh Dawson, I think it would be a great idea help us all lose a few pound and to raise some money for Charity.

The idea is to have a fitter, slimmer cricket team ready to start the season with a bang. And the wives/partners may want to sign-up too as they'll probably do most of the healthy cooking!  The idea is to get a minimum of 10 people to sign up to the scheme.

The winner over the 8 week period will be the person who has lost the most weight and this will all be confidential and supervised by our fitness manager.  The details of how it would work is as follows;

Run over an 8 week period.

Each person pays £15 per person.

At the end of the 8 week period half of the money raised goes to our Charity with the other half going to the winner.

The more members - the greater the prize for both the winner and the Charity

Bronagh Dawson will administer the slimming club

All personal information will be done via email (not Facebook) and trust. Closed communication distribution list to members only via E-Mail.

Starting weights are sent to Bronagh and ALL weights are TOTALLY CONFIDENTIAL TO BRONAGH ONLY. As an alternative, if anyone would feel really uncomfortable with that, they can register/advise their starting weight with their partner

Reminders will be sent to everyone weekly to complete their weigh-in and to email me the results (ie. total pounds lost-hopefully not gained!)

Weekly weight losses are measured in lost lbs etc - however - the overall weight loss to determine the ultimate winner will be calculated as a percentage of the person's own starting weight (Therefore it is not pure lb weight loss and this makes the competition more equitable for all)

Bronagh will send out communications every few days- everything from healthy tips, recipes, exercises or weight loss successes (not anybody's personal weight-just their losses)

We aim to start early January 2013

Payment for joining would be made either directly to my bank account or to the Chairman's (must be FULLY PAID in advance)
