Sunday August 3rd v Guernsey - Ground 1
Monday August 4th v Netherlands - Ground 1
Tuesday August 5th v Jersey - Ground 2
Friday August 8th v Scotland - Ground

To say that we are all extremely proud of Stuart would be an understatement, he has been opening the bowling this year for our first XI and batting 3 and doing a sterling job at both.  He is also the current NCU Under 15 captain and is displaying true leadership qualities both on and off the field.  Stuart has now joined a very small band of Cregagh players who have attained International honours as a Cregagh player.  Stuart can now add his name to Frank Fee, Charlie Corry and Aaron Kerr.
We have all seen his development over the years under the watchful eye of his coach David McCormick who deserves acknowledgement in nurturing Stuart's undoubted talent.  As a coach David must be the best kept secret in the NCU you only need to ask his players what they think of him as a coach, and we are as equally delighted for David who will no doubt be ecstatic with the news, I'm sure it will reach him on the beach!

Good luck Stuart, I am sure you will do well, on behalf of the committee, members and all our supporters we wish you well in the tournament, no doubt you will give a good account of yourself.

Phil Thompson is awarded the Trevor Henry Bursary

Each year within Umpiring circles an award is made to an umpire called the Trevor Henry Bursary award.  This year Cregagh's own Philip Thompson is the winner of the award.

The prize itself involves Philip assisting the 3rd umpire during a County championship game, between Durham V Warwickshire, taking place between 13th July - 16th July.

During his visit he will get to experience how the professionals prepare and deal with all situations that may arise during a match, a great experience for Philip and a well deserved acknowledgement for Philip who has put a lot of time and effort into his umpiring and giving something back to the game.

Good luck Philip and enjoy your day.  As a footnote, Philip has also been named as the 3rd Umpire in this years Challenge Cup match, the biggest cricketing day of the year in the NCU.  Well done mate.
