1st XI Skipper Charity Challenge!!!

In early 2015 our 1st XI Skipper will face his toughest challenge yet.  If he thought captaining Cregagh CC was tough he had decided to take on Everest!!!

I met with Graeme earlier in the month to get some further details from him and to see what we could do to support him.

"I am raising much needed funds for Marie curie cancer care, Beaconsfield, Belfast. It is a cause I feel strongly about as they have done a lot for my family and family of my close friends.

I am taking on the challenge of Everest base camp trek. In March 2015. Flying from London to Kathmandu and then a connecting flight on to Lukla the most dangerous runway in the world.

At Lukla I will begin my 16 day trek through the Himalayas. Naturally a lot of training is involved to cope with the demands of High altitude, with Base camp being over 17'500 ft above sea level.

So certainly the best pre-season I have ever had. "

We have added the link should you wish to make a donation to support Graeme also keep an eye out for an interesting fund raising idea that he is looking to do in the new year.

Good luck skipper!

Christmas Drinks

Tis the season to be jolly and to get a drink off the chairman.

Folks as has become a custom over the last number of years we always like to meet up for a few Christmas drinks and this year will be no different with our Chairman absolutely busting a gut to buy us all a Christmas drink.

So why not join us at the club from 7.30 pm on Friday 19th December for a Christmas drink and maybe a Mince Pie or two.  Lets face it with 3 trophies in the cabinet, (we won the Graham Cup this year by the way) we still have plenty to celebrate as 2014 was quite a year for our club.

Hope to see you all there.
