Major Ground Improvement Annoucement

Cregagh Sports Club is pleased to announce the commencement of a 2 year project that will involve undertaking major improvements to both the current playing surfaces and club facilities.

The initial phase involves the installation of new drainage to the cricket outfield and square and this work is currently underway. In addition new covers and sightscreens have been ordered and later in 2017 replacement ball-catch structures will be installed.

The final element involves significant improvements to the clubhouse, both internal and external, with the work scheduled to be undertaken during 2018.

Chairman of the project steering committee, Stuart Catterson, said: ‘None of the planned improvements would be possible without the excellent support of Belfast City Council. Their assistance, particularly financially, has been invaluable and is greatly appreciated by everyone at the club’.
